A standard size Carport with no bespoke sizing on site will be a lower cost than if it needs to be custom sized.

Also, If you wanted any accessories, such as key frames, solid walls and even LED Lighting systems* this will of course have an impact on the price.

Generally speaking the answer is NO, as most of our structures are listed as temporary structures so planning is not required.

In addition many carports fall under “permitted development” so formal planning permission may not be required.

However, if you are concerned it is always good practice to check any covenants on your buildings deeds and you can reach out to your local planning office.

To note, if a Carport is within 2 m of a boundary its eaves height should not exceed 2.5M.
